I am a father of two wonderful children. This is my greatest accomplishment in life after finding and then marrying my high school sweetheart. I work crazy hard to keep them happy.
I earn my paycheck as a systems administrator at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. I fix problems and care intensely about making things better for the people I work with.
Cosmically, I am a Buddhist. This Buddhism thing flies in against most of my upbringing, but I am okay with how it might pan out in the cosmic end.
I Crossfit and run. I WOD at Crossfit Hampton Roads and twenty-six-point-two miles is how I measure my runs. I have done one Fight Gone Bad and loved it and run two marathons and plan to run more.
I pretend to blog, write stupid things on twitter and I have generally failed at some form of the Internet or another. I currently write a newsletter Letters from Jered.
I am perfectly described in a quote from Merlin Mann:
“I lack core competencies in many important facets of life, but my coffee-making skills are tight.”
